For now, just save the date! If you're flying in, it might be a good time to start checking flights, since January is a busy travel season and prices usually start going up around October.

A little chapel on a big hill

Caleruega sits up in the Batulao hills — gardens, big views, and air a good few degrees cooler than down below. January is dry season, so the weather should behave.

The half-four ceremony is on purpose: it lands the vows in the best light of the day.

Heads up — the two venues sit in different provinces: the chapel's in Batangas, the party's in Cavite. Only half an hour apart, but don't be surprised when the sign changes on the drive over.

getting there

Where to stay

Base yourself in Tagaytay. It sits right between the chapel and the reception, and it's where the hotels and the food are. Roughly two hours from Manila.

Please don't book Batangas City — it sounds right, but it's about 60km the other way: a two-hour drive in the wrong direction on the morning of the wedding. Tagaytay is your spot.

About those steps — there's a bit of a climb from the car park up to the chapel, around a hundred of them. If that's not your thing, just say and we'll sort you a ride to the top.

flying in?

Book sooner than feels necessary

Fly into Manila (NAIA), then it's about two hours by road. January is peak season in the Philippines, straight off the holidays — fares climb steadily from around October and don't come back down.

A sneaky bonus — Monday the 18th is MLK Day in the States. If you're coming from the US, that's a public holiday attached to the weekend: one less day of leave to burn.
